Lesson Notes
Above the team table you will find four controls: a search input, a Status filter, a Role filter, and a Sort By dropdown. These work together in real time — changing any one of them immediately re-filters the visible rows without a page reload.
The search input matches against name, email address, and home location simultaneously. If you type 'Calgary', you will see only members whose city or province contains that string. If you type part of an email domain, only members from that domain appear. The search is case-insensitive.
The Status filter has three options: All Status, Active, and Inactive. Active members are those with status 'active'; Inactive includes members with status 'inactive' or 'suspended'. Use the Active filter to quickly see who is currently available for job assignment.
The Role filter lets you view one role at a time: All Roles, Owner, Admin, Technician, Project Manager, or Editor. This is especially useful when you want to audit which members are Admins or quickly count your active Technicians without stat card math.
The Sort By dropdown offers ten sort options: Name A-Z, Name Z-A, Rating High-Low, Rating Low-High, Jobs Most, Jobs Least, On-Time High-Low, On-Time Low-High, Status A-Z, and Status Z-A. Sorting by Rating High-Low or On-Time High-Low is the fastest way to identify your highest-performing technicians for priority dispatch decisions.
The table paginates at 10 rows per page by default. You can change this to 25, 50, or 100 using the per-page selector in the bottom-right corner. The result count ('Showing X of Y technicians') updates dynamically as filters are applied, so you always know how many members match your current criteria.
Key Takeaways
- The search box matches name, email, and location simultaneously — useful for finding members in a specific city.
- Status and Role filters combine with search to narrow results to a precise subset in real time.
- Sorting by Rating High-Low or On-Time High-Low instantly surfaces your top performers.
- Change the per-page selector to 25, 50, or 100 when auditing a large roster without excessive pagination.
