Lesson Notes
On the web app, navigation lives in a sidebar on the left. The top section of the sidebar shows your current workspace (with an Organization Switcher to change workspaces) and the primary navigation items relevant to your role. Company users see: Dashboard, Projects, Calendar, Map, Customers, Team, Invoices, Reports, Inventory, Marketplace, Resources, and AI Studio. Agent users see: Dashboard, Orders, Book, Calendar, Invoices, Marketplace, and Rewards. Provider users see: Dashboard, Jobs, Calendar, Marketplace, and Resources. Settings and profile management live at the bottom of the sidebar.
The web app's main content area adapts to what you've opened. Clicking a job anywhere in the app — from a dashboard card, a list row, the map, or the calendar — opens a Job Task View as a slide-in sheet on the right side of the screen. This sheet shows the job's status, address, schedule, package, assigned technician, the team chat and customer chat channels, and action buttons to change status or assign/reassign the technician. You can expand it to a full-screen dialog by clicking the 'open full screen' icon, or navigate to the standalone detail page at /jobs/[id] (or /orders/[id] for agents, /projects/[id] for company users).
On iOS, navigation is built around a dock at the bottom of the screen. The dock contents change per persona: agents get Dashboard, Orders, Book, Calendar, and a 'More' tab; providers get Dashboard, Jobs, Calendar, Marketplace, and More; company managers get Dashboard, Projects, Map, Calendar, and More. The 'More' tab opens a full-screen destination list for less-frequently accessed surfaces like Notifications, Rewards, Resources, Invoices, Settings, and Profile. The top bar on every iOS screen shows the current workspace avatar (tap to switch organizations) and a notification bell that routes to the NotificationsInboxView.
The Notifications Inbox on iOS (NotificationsInboxView) surfaces all activity in one place: new orders, status changes, technician assignments, chat messages, and media delivery events. Items are grouped by Today, Yesterday, This Week, and Earlier. Three filter chips — All, Unread, and Mentions — let you narrow the list quickly. Tapping a notification routes directly to the relevant order detail, chat thread, or marketplace job. The badge count on the notification bell updates in real time via a live socket connection.
Key Takeaways
- The web sidebar contains all primary navigation for your role — the items shown depend on your account type.
- Clicking any job card opens the Job Task View sheet on the right without leaving the current page.
- The iOS dock is persona-specific — agents, providers, and company users see completely different tab sets.
- The 'More' tab on iOS is a catch-all for secondary surfaces: Notifications, Rewards, Resources, Settings, and Profile.
- Notifications are real-time on both platforms and route directly to the relevant detail screen when tapped.
