Lesson Notes
Every order carries exactly one status badge at any given moment. The full lifecycle, in order, is: Pending → Assigned → In Progress → Awaiting Editor → Editing → Delivered → (Cancelled). Each status is colour-coded consistently across the web order card grid, the iOS list rows, and the order detail header, so you always know the stage at a glance without reading the label.
Pending (orange) means the order has been placed but no technician has been assigned yet. Assigned (blue accent) means a technician is on the calendar. In Progress (camera icon) means the shoot is actively underway. Awaiting Editor and Editing (both use a pencil-toned colour) mean the raw files have been handed off to post-production. Delivered (green check) means your media is ready to access. Cancelled (muted red X) means the order was stopped; a cancelled order can be archived to remove it from your main list.
On the web, the orders list shows five tab filters above the card grid: All, Pending, Assigned, In Progress, and Completed (Delivered). Each tab label includes a live count in parentheses. Tap any tab to filter the grid to only those orders. On iOS, the equivalent is a horizontal scrollable chip row at the top of the list: All, Scheduled (covers Pending + Assigned + Booked), In Progress, Awaiting Media (covers Editing/Awaiting Editor), and Complete. The iOS chip turns filled-brand-colour when active; tapping it again or tapping All clears the filter.
The count shown on each tab is derived from the same backend-provided jobs array — it never skews relative to what you see in the cards below. If you filter to 'In Progress' and see a count of 3, exactly three cards will render. On iOS the count block below the chips confirms 'X of Y jobs' so you always know how many orders are hidden by the active filter.
The Priority column on the web table view surfaces Standard, Rush, and Urgent badges. Rush and Urgent orders are highlighted in the job detail as well. If your provider uses these tiers, keep an eye on urgent orders — they may have accelerated delivery timelines that affect when you need to review and download your media.
Key Takeaways
- The seven statuses — Pending, Assigned, In Progress, Awaiting Editor, Editing, Delivered, Cancelled — map the full shoot-to-delivery lifecycle.
- Filter tabs on the web (All / Pending / Assigned / In Progress / Completed) and chip row on iOS let you focus on one pipeline stage at a time.
- Tab and chip counts are always in sync with the rendered list — no skew between the count badge and the visible cards.
- Colour coding is consistent across web cards, iOS rows, and the order detail header so you read status at a glance.
- Rush and Urgent priority badges signal faster delivery expectations — watch for these on your Assigned and In Progress orders.
