Lesson Notes

01

The Customers tab shows a ranked list of the top 25 customers by lifetime spend — meaning the sum of all PAID invoice totals attributed to each customer, across all time. This is not filtered by date, so it reflects the entire history of your organization's billing in Vremly. The tab is lazy-loaded: it fetches on first click and caches in session state, so switching away and back is instant.

02

The table has three columns: Customer (avatar + name + email), Invoices (the count of paid invoices), and Lifetime spend (the total in CAD). Rows are sorted descending by lifetime spend with the top customer at position 1. Every row with a linked customer record is clickable — clicking anywhere on the row navigates to that customer's full detail page at /customers/[id] where you can see their full order history, contact details, and reliability score.

03

If an invoice exists in the system but its customer record has been deleted or was never linked, the row still appears (it contributes to the totals) but renders in 60% opacity and is not clickable — the customer column shows 'Unknown customer'. This can happen if a customer was manually invoiced without being added to the customer directory first.

04

The Customers tab is useful for identifying accounts worth proactive outreach — your top 5 spenders are likely the customers most receptive to loyalty programs, volume discounts, or early access to new services. From here you can click through to each customer's profile to see their last booking date and whether they have outstanding invoices.
