Lesson Notes

01

The Reports page lives at /reports and is accessible from the main left-hand sidebar under the management group, between Invoices and any admin tooling. The sidebar item is labeled 'Reports' and uses a bar-chart icon. Access is restricted to users with the Owner, Admin, or Project Manager role on a company workspace — agents and technicians without one of those roles will see an Access Denied screen rather than the data.

02

The page is organized around a single tabbed interface with four tabs: Revenue, Customers, Tax, and Payouts. Each tab loads its data independently on first activation — Revenue data loads immediately when you open the page, while Customers, Tax, and Payouts load lazily the first time you switch to them. This lazy-load design keeps the initial page fast even for organizations with large invoice histories.

03

Everything on this page is read-only and aggregated from your organization's paid invoices. You cannot edit anything from Reports — it is purely an observational surface. To fix a number you see here, you would go to the underlying invoice (via Invoices in the sidebar) or the underlying customer record (via the clickable rows in the Customers tab).

04

The Reports page has no date-range picker for the Revenue or Customers tabs — the Revenue tab always shows the trailing 12 months plus lifetime totals, and the Customers tab always shows all-time lifetime spend. The Tax tab is the only section that exposes a period control (quarterly vs monthly). If you need a custom date-range revenue report, that would be handled by exporting invoices from the Invoices list page.

05

On the iOS app, there is no dedicated Reports screen — revenue and payout data is not currently surfaced in the mobile app. All reporting work is done on the webapp, which is fully mobile-browser-capable but optimized for desktop.

Key Takeaways

  • Reports is restricted to Owner, Admin, and Project Manager roles on company workspaces.
  • The page has four tabs: Revenue, Customers, Tax, and Payouts — each loading independently.
  • All data is read-only and derived from paid invoices; edits happen in Invoices or Customers.
  • No custom date-range filter exists on Revenue or Customers — Tax is the only tab with a period toggle.
