Lesson Notes
Vremly's dashboard is role-aware: what you see at /dashboard depends on your account type and workspace role. There are three distinct views. Company org admins and owners (accountType COMPANY, or PROVIDER users with OWNER/ADMIN/PROJECT_MANAGER role in a company workspace) see the CompanyDashboardView — a metrics-heavy layout with stat cards, an assigned-jobs grid, and an embedded monthly calendar. Provider/Technician/Editor roles that are not elevated in a company workspace see the ProviderDashboardView — a stats row (Upcoming Jobs, Completed Jobs, Rating, On-Time Rate) plus their own assigned job cards and a personal calendar. Agent/customer users see the AgentDashboard — a rotating greeting/property-search hero, a quick-book address input, today's orders list, and a loyalty rewards card if their company has rewards enabled.
The Company Dashboard's metrics section shows six stat cards for the selected timeframe: Total Jobs, Pending Jobs, Assigned Jobs, Completed Jobs, Revenue (with a show/hide toggle to protect privacy on shared screens), and Technician Utilization. The timeframe defaults to 'This Month' but can be changed via the timeframe picker in the top-right of the stats section — options include Today, This Week, This Month, Last Month, and custom date ranges. When the metrics are stale or refreshing, a subtle loading state appears on the cards without blanking the whole page. Click the refresh icon to force a refetch.
Below the metrics on the Company Dashboard is an assigned-jobs grid showing up to four jobs currently in Assigned status — these are shoots that have been dispatched to a technician but not yet started. Click any job card to open the Job Task View, a side panel that shows full job details, messaging threads, status controls, and file attachments without leaving the dashboard. The panel has a 'Full Screen' button to expand to a dialog, and an 'Open in New Page' link to navigate to the dedicated project detail page.
Navigation structure differs by layout. Company and customer-portal users get a collapsible left sidebar (CompanySidebar or CustomerPortalSidebar) plus a persistent header. The sidebar has live badge counts on key sections — Projects shows the count of PENDING + BOOKED jobs, Invoices shows outstanding invoice count, and Marketplace shows open job slots. On mobile, the sidebar is replaced by a bottom dock with the three most important destinations pinned, a center floating-action button (FAB) for the primary action, and a 'More' button that opens a full-screen drawer listing every section. Provider and Agent personal-workspace users see header-only navigation on desktop (nav links inline in the header) and the same mobile dock on phones.
The header is always visible across all layouts. On the left is the Organization Switcher — tap the org logo/name to switch between workspaces if you belong to more than one. The sidebar collapse/expand trigger sits next to it on desktop. On the right is a Notification Bell, and your avatar. Clicking your avatar opens a dropdown with links to Profile and Settings, a theme switcher (Light / Dark / System), a 'Send Feedback' option, and Log Out. The 'New Project' or 'New Order' button appears in the header for roles with create permissions. On mobile, the bottom dock also shows a center FAB (a brand-colored circle with a plus icon) for the same create action.
On iOS, the app uses a persona-driven custom tab bar (PersonaTabsView) instead of the web sidebar. Company operators see Dashboard / Projects / + / Calendar / More in the dock. Agent/customer-portal users see Dashboard / My Listings / + / Calendar / More. The center + button launches the BookingView full-screen sheet. Tapping 'More' opens a bottom sheet listing every available section — Project Mgmt, Map, Team, Customers, Resources, Settings, and so on — based on the user's persona. The system automatically picks the right dock spec from the combination of accountType, workspace role, org type, and whether it is a customer-portal build, so users always see the most relevant shortcuts without any configuration.

- Company admins see six filterable stat cards; use the timeframe picker to scope metrics to any date range.
- Click any job card on the dashboard to open the Job Task View side panel — no page navigation required.
- The sidebar shows live badge counts on Projects, Invoices, and Marketplace so you can spot items needing attention at a glance.
- On iOS, a persona-driven custom tab bar shows the three most relevant destinations in the dock; everything else is one tap away in the 'More' drawer.
