Lesson Notes
The delivery link is managed through the DeliveryPanel component, which appears inside the project's job detail view under a 'Client Delivery' heading. The panel exists in two visual modes: an inline mode (a compact row showing a toggle, copy button, and open button) and a card mode (a bordered panel with the full URL displayed as monospace text). Company staff with the canManageDelivery permission see both the toggle switch and management controls; customers and read-only viewers see only the approval state.
To share the link, click the Copy icon button next to the URL field. The button shows a checkmark briefly to confirm the copy succeeded, and a toast appears reading 'Delivery link copied to clipboard.' You can then paste this link into an email, text message, or any other channel. To preview the page yourself first, click the External Link icon button, which opens the delivery page in a new browser tab. Members of the organization who open the page this way will see the preview banner described in the Gallery Overview lesson.
The panel also shows the Client Approval Status as a color-coded badge: Pending Review (amber), Approved (green), or Changes Requested (red). This gives company staff real-time visibility into client sentiment without leaving the job detail. When the status is Approved, the panel shows the name of the approver and the date they approved. When Changes Requested, it shows 'Client requested changes' as a reminder to review the discussion thread.
If a delivery link was shared with the wrong person or you suspect it has been leaked, click the Regenerate (circular arrow) button in the panel. A confirmation dialog warns that 'This will create a new delivery link. The previous link will stop working immediately. Anyone with the old link will no longer have access.' Confirming invalidates the old token and generates a new one, which you must reshare with your client. This action is irreversible — the old URL will return an 'invalid or expired' error to anyone who still has it.
You can also disable the delivery link entirely using the Enabled/Disabled toggle switch. Disabling shows a confirmation dialog asking 'Disable Delivery Link?' and noting that the client will no longer be able to access the page. This is useful when a revision is in progress and you do not want the client viewing outdated media. The switch can be turned back on at any time without regenerating the token — the same URL resumes working immediately. On the iOS app, agents can access the delivery page URL directly by visiting the Deliverables tab in OrderDetailView, where tapping the Property Assets card opens the property website in an in-app WKWebView sheet.
Key Takeaways
- Copy the delivery URL with the Copy button in the Client Delivery panel inside the job detail view.
- Regenerating the token immediately invalidates any previously shared links — reshare the new URL with your client.
- Disabling the toggle blocks access without destroying the link; re-enabling restores it instantly.
- The Client Approval Status badge (Pending Review, Approved, or Changes Requested) is visible directly in the panel.
